It's New Year's and we are thinking of you. Are you thinking of us. We have no pachata music, so we are watching football on TV. mom and I went to biking and yoga this morning. Our dieting has been stopped boy a plethora of Xmas goodies. Time for one of those resolutions. Aren't those made to be broken?

Nathan's fan club
Yes, I am one of the many people bitten by the I love Nathan bug. His charming smile, disarming sense of humor, his farming ignorance. It's wonderful.
There are no trash cans to high for this debonair missionary to ollie over. There is no dominican republic man or woman to wierd-looking or smelly for him to talk to, no language too complicated, no computer too forbiding to send his e-mails, he's awesome.

candlewalking revisited
so happy to report that all of xander's illnesses by the love and caring of his grandmother and grandfather, no thanks to marek.
mom made me buy another suit and new shoes just after christmas, all for the mtc. why me?
it is snowing here. is it snowing there?
we are moving quickly towards new year's and the prospect of heavy partying. did you ever notice how close the words party and pepsi are? i have been begging the orem rec to keep the pool open so that we can swim into the new year. don't hold your breath.
seriously, marek really let me down this year with the candlewalking. we are going to be forced to have candlewalking practices and rehearsals all through the year, now, just to get ready for next year. as long as there is a candle and a match, we will practice!
big parties this week with tons of roaming kids, unruly kids, adn lawlessness. grandma is a wild and crazy dancer. all the kids got really cool toys from grandma--either a car or an airplane that you can take apart and then put back together. the younger kids can do the car, the airplane is for the older ones.
mom has bought some things over the internet from sak's 5th avenue.

Wow. Christmas is so close. Mom is getting better. She was sick, sick. Now I heard that Aly may abe getting sick. Dad was smart and got a flu shot. i love you all this has been an exiting week of much love and compassion.
my comp is dead he went home. sad now i have a new one he is dominican. he
is very friendly. my comp was great se llama derek hendriksson. you gotta
love him. we had to go shopping a lot though this last week to get things
for him to go back it was hard. i went skating in a parking lot two that
was off the hook. i suck. but it was so fun. then we went to are area and
set a marraige and babtism date. i hope this all works but we have to pray
so hard. they are wonderful people. the lady is actually smart. no one is

first then give you a number. probably around 11. i don't know so sure. i

i finished the book of mormon this week yeah. it is so wonderful and every
thing is amazing in it i learned so much. there are so many wonder ful

Elder Nate Cerny rocks
Hi Elder Nate Cerny. You rock. Mom and I are going to be missionaries to the two chinese girls that I work with. They came over our house for Thanksgiving. They were so grateful!!! I learned a lot on how to be thankful from them. Every time they see me they get a huge smile on their face and say thanks, thanks, thanks.
I pray that the Lord will bless you. I really know that He hears and answers prayers. He stretches us. He loves all of His children. I am going to start writing down some of the things that I am praying for. I pray that you will progress in learning Spanish. I pray that the Lord will bless you with the perseverance to keep working hard at it. I pray that He will give you peace.

Nate its your brother - were hanging out
Happy thanks giving!
We ate at HB's and at Annes.
We played boggle and I was the champion of connect 4.
Zeb got thanksgiving flavord Jones Soda and we tried them all.
There was turkey and gravey soda, Cranberry soda, Brussel sprout soda, stuffing soda, and pumkin pie soda.
They were disgusting but very fun to try.
Aly brought her boyfriend to thanksgiving, he seems like a good one!

Dinner with Jake
Nate!!! Whats up!? Tonight I ate dinner with Jake and his family. They all say hello and are doing well. Rock on!
Nate, I got my Diploma
Hey Nathan! I've been waiting patiently for almost two months, and today my Highschool Diploma finally came in the mail. Great!

I am so happy. People are starting to accept the invitations and are posting their love for Nathan. Again, if you haven't already, please request an invitation if you love Nate.
I sent Nate an email this morning about this page. He should get it on wednesday morning, and hopefully, he will be able to view this page and even post on it. That's right! I set up an account for him and if all goes well he will be able to use it to upload pictures directly to us and leave some messages for us all too!
I also told him I would try to get some pictures of everyone on here. So I am going to find a camera and come to your houses to take pictures. If you have some good pictures already, please share them. Keep them apropriate, remember Nate is a Missionary.

Yes! I am so excited! I found this blog thing and I know I hate blogs and I hate the word blog even more. But I realized it would be perfect for posting pictures from nate. So I spent a lot of time today after work uploading pictures and emails, and even changing the post time stamps to match when I got the stuff from Nate in the first place.

hey guys how are you this wonderful eveing i am doing bueatiful. YOU would be suppired i am healthy. Mom i like those pills you hooked me up with those enzmes.
how is california any way. I hear you are makeing dad misarable. don't worry dad i love you. i go swiimming and think of you everymorning. this week was raining really raining. every one lives in this huge king of ditch thats like thirty feet deep. with about a five foot side walk enbetween. and it had turned into a river. wo1!!!!!! it was crazy and at the same time we were helping this guy move it was nuts crazy nuts. i got a little wet. te hehehe . the guy moved out of the whole
thouugh. that is a succesfful thing here. I was happy for them. people
live like crap here. water floods there house every time it rains. THEY
have cement floors. BUT i got the sweetest house in the mission. we live
four of us there and we moved all are beds in the same room for house unity.
It sucks. I hate it i got no personal space. spanish is coming along i
should be able to understand people in one year. sweet!!!!!! right now i
am just studing and trying. i worked hard on reflexive verbs i really don't
understand them maybe stargirl can help me.
we babtised cesar's kidd anni
this saturday. SHE is so cool. so smart i have written about here before.
This is cesars giant baby. 10 months, and freaking huge.
now are goal is cesar's wife. she is looking good. i know it will work
out because cesar is so humble and has so much faith and he works hard to
study. and there is love in that house. it is amazing. kirk where is my
email. i enjoy your emails. stargirl i am jealous that you are in mango
season i just missed it now i have to wait 9 months every day i think how
great mango season is. the avacados are huge though. DO you eat a lot of
platinos. yea i like platinos. they make hot dogs here that are off the
hook for 20 pesos. they are so good but that is sinning to eat of the
street but they are so good. I haven't gotten diaria yet. i got an angel.
I am really tired. this week sucked me dry so i am not writing good. oh
weell. enjoy getting your letters. espialially annes she rights i have a
choice. thats what i say when i am tired now i have a choice to rest or to
keep trying so usually i keep trying. my investigators they have a choice.
everyone has choices. well i love you guys i send a picture of cesars
family in front of the church with this email. and a picture of my body
before i started puchups and exersises for the transfer.
now i am starting
exerisise for the transfer and i will take an after for you guys. love you
guys forever

zeb owns a skateboard and he goes to the skate park right . but then when
he gets there he doesn't do any thing right. so then he does not get any
better or learn any thing what a little wuss.
THIs is exatly what happens when we have the book of mormon in are lives
and we don't read it we don't get better. It can make such a great spirit
in your life with your family kirk i am inviting you to read it with your
family. because it is wonderful. and it is the step you need to take so
you can be sealed to shayna in the temple. but first you have to do and
doing is reading the book of mormon zeb doesn't try tricks he doesn't learn.
YOU don't do you don't recieve blessing. AND there are wonderful blessing
that come from reading this book. I hope and pray that you will read or are

From Nate: Oct 26th
hola what up
THIS week has been pretty sweet. we got this one guy who makes tank tops
and i got a freakin sweet tank top for free but the problem is with my
figure i llook really gay. I took pictures so you can figure it out. this
guy is sweet. HE KNOWS THE church is true. and he would get babtised
saturday but we have only taught him the first lesson. he does not
understand that he still has to learn more he keeps saying so are we gonna
go do this babtism thing now. HE so relaxed about it a lot of people have
all these worries and can't do what the know is write but for him it is
easy. AND he is already married. probably the only person in this country
who ever got married with out being married. HIS wife is strong like
aubrey. I realized cause she has the biggest baby ii have ever seen. THE
ladies arms just get sucked into his butt its hilarous. the kidd is so
amazinly big.
and it is only 10 months and it is deffinatly bigger than xander then when i
left. i think it might be as tall as treste only fatter. but the family is
sweet. they are so cool and fun.
MOM did i tell you that my friend christian the one with the machete and the
stupid wife is going to get babtised this saturday sweet huh he wants to so
bad i can't wait to see how happy he is when he gets babtised. he had to
move away from his girlfriend i think thats good he was to good to get
married to her hes so cool.
MOM you should write tell the missionaires what is like when you don't know
the language. because a lot of preach my gospel is centered towards people
who already speak the language. YOU cant teach for understanding when you
don't understand the person. but your roll is a little different you kind
of got to teach the real simple basics basics. tell them please don't study
any thing to complicated. just real basic. because you have to teach basic
so they will understand. and so then you will beablle to understand what
your talking about in a different language. AND to be able to watch your
companion and learn from them because there really good with all the
practice and experience. so they got sweet techiniques you learn stuff
every day from them.
some things my companion does that i always want to do are. WE start every
lession out with a hymn that is so greaat. he invites every time. HE plans
really well thats really important. he looks for the good people that have
integrity. because some people don't have integrity so they just lie and
lie and lie its so gross. oh he is really calm about thinks when i am in a
panic about not knowing spanish. he helps me relax. theses are all
wonderful attributes to have when a missionairy and he has them. mom tell
your missionaires to start out with a hymn people really just seem to want

THIS week has been pretty sweet. we got this one guy who makes tank tops
and i got a freakin sweet tank top for free but the problem is with my
figure i llook really gay. I took pictures so you can figure it out. this
guy is sweet. HE KNOWS THE church is true. and he would get babtised
saturday but we have only taught him the first lesson. he does not
understand that he still has to learn more he keeps saying so are we gonna
go do this babtism thing now. HE so relaxed about it a lot of people have
all these worries and can't do what the know is write but for him it is
easy. AND he is already married. probably the only person in this country
who ever got married with out being married. HIS wife is strong like
aubrey. I realized cause she has the biggest baby ii have ever seen. THE
ladies arms just get sucked into his butt its hilarous. the kidd is so
amazinly big.
and it is only 10 months and it is deffinatly bigger than xander then when i
left. i think it might be as tall as treste only fatter. but the family is
sweet. they are so cool and fun.
MOM did i tell you that my friend christian the one with the machete and the
stupid wife is going to get babtised this saturday sweet huh he wants to so
bad i can't wait to see how happy he is when he gets babtised. he had to
move away from his girlfriend i think thats good he was to good to get
married to her hes so cool.
MOM you should write tell the missionaires what is like when you don't know
the language. because a lot of preach my gospel is centered towards people
who already speak the language. YOU cant teach for understanding when you
don't understand the person. but your roll is a little different you kind
of got to teach the real simple basics basics. tell them please don't study
any thing to complicated. just real basic. because you have to teach basic
so they will understand. and so then you will beablle to understand what
your talking about in a different language. AND to be able to watch your
companion and learn from them because there really good with all the
practice and experience. so they got sweet techiniques you learn stuff
every day from them.
some things my companion does that i always want to do are. WE start every
lession out with a hymn that is so greaat. he invites every time. HE plans
really well thats really important. he looks for the good people that have
integrity. because some people don't have integrity so they just lie and
lie and lie its so gross. oh he is really calm about thinks when i am in a
panic about not knowing spanish. he helps me relax. theses are all
wonderful attributes to have when a missionairy and he has them. mom tell

HEY WHAT Up this week has been pretty sweet. we got some people come around
and finally decide to get babtised. AND my friend christain the one with
the machete and just wants to get babtised so bad. HAD gotten a job this
week so he can move away from his wife who i honestly am starting to believe
is the meaning person i have ever met. MOM this guy is so sweet you would
love him. we had him to have family home evening and that we would attend
his first one. SO we did he had found a chalk board and every thing and
taught a sweet lesson. it was the cutest sweetest thing i have ever seen he
even wore a suit and tie how wonderful.
AND he will get babtised in a week. hooray. so that is making me happy.
oh yea i read the ensign this month about how showing love to your family.
a thousand stiches of love. and it talked about all the little things
christ did to show love and it reminded me of anne cerny and william cerny
and i knew i was raised right.
we have had a wierd end of the week. THe people in the dominican had welga
day yesterday. which is like riot day. so we didn't get to go out. THAT
WAS NO FUN. i saw one start there crazy they throw all this broken glass
into the street and then start burning tires. these are the people who are
stupid the good wonderful people in the dominican are getting hurt by there
actions. I DON't like this. its so stupid. THESE people don't do any
thing but drugs then they complain they don't have money so they riot. and
they ruin the good things for the good people how stupid is that. oh it is
dumb.
WELL I am safe and feeling goods love. I still don't under stand dominicans
but i can understand if i see a little telivision or a little of something
of that when i am walking around. THe difference is the tv pronounciatate
and domincans are lazy espicalial old people. adios love you all of you

From Nate: whaat up
ok so i am so scared here here's why, so my first day we go to this house
my comp didn't tell me much about it so i was walking in and we were
teaching a little boy who looked about 15, and he was saying how is dad
was mad that we were teaching him, and my cop seemed a little nervous i had
no clue what was happening. THEN his dad comes out and starts screaming in
spanish i didn't understand then he pulls out a huge machety *big knife* so
i took of running i got about 30 feet out and realized my comp wasn't behind
me so i turned around and they were laughing at me.
IT WAS JUST A JOKE THEY WERE PLAYING ON ME HOW MEAN. WELL IT WAS PRETTY
FUNNY REALLY FUNNY. yes zeb i think that the dominican might be a lot like
you described the phillipenes exept i am in the citty right now so i got it
pretty good. but other than that yes. and it is so hot very hot very very
hot. and there are people who make really comfortable pants you would love
it. ok the spanish here is crazy instead of the word para they say par.
and there numbers are loco. i was trying to write down this guys phone
number and he kept saying die die. i was like what the heck. but then i
realized he was saying diez diez. but going to the mtc in the same country
is probably one of the best things ever every lesson was in spanish there it
really helped.
MOM i am sorry i scared you at the beginging of the letter i was scared
but you should know that there is no one sweeter than this guy. his name is
christian and i don't think anyone wants to get married more than him. but
his wife is really retarded and there not married and he can't leave here.
he doesn't like her i have never seen anyone so sad he wants to be babtised
so bad. HE found out about the book of mormon six weeks ago and he knows it
so well. he also never misses a meeting. even the ones he shouldn't go to
during the week. ITs sad.
BUt we have been blessed this week we found a really fun family
called the babtista family. THey play the guitar all day. ANd when we
start with a him they play the guitar to it it's sweet action. they have a
six year old name samuel and i spend most of my time trying to talk to him .
when we were telling them about prophets he yelled out and samuel it was
pretty sweet.
we have this one family we go teach but its this 11 year old and his parents
are never there. so my comp just lets me try to tell him stories frrom the
bom I try to tell them with exitement but they can't understand me its kinda
funny but i enjoy trying.
yea my comp is great he doesn't care what i do. and he just teaches me
spanish all day its like a twenty four hour spanish lesson my head really
hurts a lot. but its ok. zeb the dominican has maids its great that way.
oh i am sorry no pictures i didn't have my camara with me i will send some
next week. sorry.
YEA THE DOMINCANS are so friendly. but i a lot of them are drugged up way

domicans will never end i don't know when its impossible. and there are
disgusting dogs everywhere.
