We have returned from Peru and we actually survived. We were Kara's companions for a week. We were terrible; we just kept letting her walk off without us. We ate Pollo a la braza and other Peruvian delicasses. We went to Machu Picchu and also to the Amazon jungle. The jungle is hot and sweaty. OK, the jungle is very hot and sweaty.
We really enjoyed Kara's converts and the people of Peru; they are very generous.
Back in the states, the routine has returned: I can still do a root canal, fortunately.Everyone is triathlon training, even Kirk and Zeb. We are trying to help Kara with training, but she is really out of shape. She wants to work out one minute, and then she doesn't the next. I think that she is interested in some boy.
At the MTC, missionary work is continuing. I gave the Priesthood lesson today. The elders are good and want to get out into the field.
Kara's Spanish is quite good. Now you can talk with her, and I won't be able to understand. You can plot against me now right in front of my face.
Last night we enjoyed "Phantom" with Kara. It was so much fun. We are excited about sharing "Phantom" with you when you return. Don't request an extension.
Kara had to report this morning to the high council about her mission at 6:30 in the morning. Sleepy, sleepy.
Love and Kisses, DAD
