We are watching the Olympics. See if you can get on the DR bobsled team. The bobsled events are next weekend, so you still have time to train and get to Torino if you skip doing your laundry this week. Get one of your investigators to be the breakman, so the President will let you out of your area. (Note: This still doesn't get you out of the Summer Olympics---representing the DR in swimming---water polo and synchronized swimming.)
Mom and I talked in Sacrament Meeting today. I hate to follow mom; she is so good. And the missionaries love her. I am embarrassed to follow her. Also I started to fall asleep in District Meeting. Oh.
Mom and I are working out like crazy people. Mom has added more Pilates on the rack on Saturday. In fact, yesterday I went to spin class, Yoga*/Pilates**, Pilates on the rack, and then a 6-mile run. Pilates also involves a new exercise band , which makes it even harder. Ouch! Also yesterday I had to go to the office and retreat two root canals. That was about four hours at the dental office. (I had already worked 3 hours on one of the teeth, an appointment whcih burned up my ultrasonic machine and I had to send it off for repair.) I deeply wished that the first doctor had done things right.
Oh ,and I did a root canal on the mayor of Provo. (Alert: celebrity root canal! celebrity root canal!)
We have been thinking and praying for your safety. We know that you are trying and working hard. Our missionaries are getting blessed and we know that you are too. You will be asked to speak in church soon. If you base your talk on Ammon in the Book of Mormon, you will give a great talk. Keep the faith going. Share your successes with us.
Now tot he smacktalking: I would like Marek to beat me in the triathlon swim, so I can tear by him on the bike. but it probably won't happen. We will be in different waves, so he won't be able to draft off me at least. We'll have to compare times after the race. Even more interesting will be to see if Marek and Aubrey can beat mom and me.
Also the day before Bonnie is getting married in Manti. (Bad timing as far as the triathlon is concerned. Doesn't she know how to schedule.? And doesn't she know what is important?)
Valentine's day is coming on Tuesday. Mom insists that I not spend any money on her. And she doesn't want candy. What to do . What to do.
Aly wants to have her wedding reception in our backyard. Looks like we might have to build a fence to block the view up the hill. This marriage thing can be so much work and so expensive. At least she looks great in her wedding dress. (Mom is working on the arrangements, so everything will come out super!)
Love and Kisses, DAD
