- Anne and William brought balloons and everyone cheered when Nathan appeared from the airport.
- Anne was the first to hug Nathan and it looked like she wasn't going to let go and let others hug him.
- The airlines lost the luggage of all the missionaries coming on Nathan's plane.
- Mike and Kara drove from Virginia and arrived just in time to make it to the airport.
- Nathan worked so hard his last week as a missionary that his feet need medical attention.
- William's camera was only taking fuzzy pictures.
- Nathan rode home in style in Anne and William's new truck.

Announcement Nathan's home coming
Nathan will arrive home August 9th at 6:20 pm Anyone reading this blog is invited to the airport. He will be coming from Dallas on American Airlines. Oh what a celebration we will have. We are so excited to see Nathan and very pleased with his missionary work. It is one week from tomorrow. Or if you are counting days it is 8 days. Willy said it is too early to count hours. I know the last 24 hours, he will probably call me every hour for the count down. I do want him to finish strong, but my heart is about to burst out of my chest when I look forward to that wonderful time when I see him again. Love MOM

I said, "That would be nice but she lives far away in Utah." Aly said, "Aww, well her can drive here!"

Aly went to Maine and Boston
Hi Nathan,
I went to Boston and Maine for a conference. It was fun and interesting to see all the historical sites in Boston.
This is the Bunker Hill Monument. The Battle of Bunker Hill was the first major battle in the Revolutionary War.
This is what is known as the "Freedom Trail." You can follow these bricks to see many of the historic sites. There's my shadow.

This is the campus of the University of New England where I stayed in Maine.
This is the Bunker Hill Suspension Bridge. Pretty cool.
This is the USS Constitution. It is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world. It was built after the Revolutionary War to protect the new nation from pirates (and the British).
A street performer. I thought you would appreciate this picture.
This is the Old State House. It was built in 1713. Every year on July 4th the mayor of Boston reads the Declaration of Independence from the balcony. On July 4, 1976 (200 year anniversary of the Declaration of Independence) the Queen of England stood their with the Boston mayor while he read. He then gave her $30,000 (see below).
This is the Old South Meeting House where Samuel Adams and others decided to throw the tea into the sea. It was built in 1729. The Boston Tea Party was on December 16, 1773. They threw $30,000 worth of tea into the Boston Harbor. That equates to 8 million dollars today. The Boston mayor did not adjust for inflation, but the Queen of England accepted the money anyway. That's a lot of tea! To this day, there is no tax on tea in Boston.
This is a statue of Paul Revere. His ride was on the night of April 18, 1775.
This is Paul Revere's house. It is very well preserved. It was built in 1680.
This is a plaque on the Old North Church that Paul Revere rode by. It was built in 1723.

William came over for dinner

After a week of eating Taco Bell, Weinerschnitzel, Fazolies, Burger King, and gallons of Pepsi, Aly and John revived William with a Sunday Dinner of roast. He looks pretty happy afterwards. William told John & Aly some really good missionary stories. Maybe he will post them on the blog? William is counting the minutes until Anne returns. In the meantime, William keeps his mind off of his loneliness by working out 12 hours per day. Go Team Cerny!
